Privacy Notice NAGI Step
This Privacy Notice has been prepared in Japanese as the original. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency between the Japanese version and versions in other languages provided for reference, the Japanese version shall prevail.
NAGI Step ("the App") handles user information as described below.
1. Provider Information
- App Name: NAGI Step
- Provider: NAGI Soft
- Contact: [email protected]
2. Information Collected
2.1 Information provided by you
- Tasks, projects, memos, timer settings, focus history, and statistics created in the App are stored local-first on your device.
- If you sign in, Firebase Authentication may process account information such as your Firebase user ID, email address, sign-in provider, display name, and authentication tokens.
- If you enable optional History Sync while signed in, limited completed focus-session history may be synced to Firebase Firestore. This may include session start/end times, local date, time-zone offset, preset name, cycle settings, focus/break durations, interruption count, limited pause/phase metadata, and sync metadata. It does not include task titles, project names, memo body text, or reflection notes. This does not sync all app content.
- Prompts, task titles, task descriptions, answers, history summaries, and related context that you provide to AI features may be processed by Apple Intelligence locally on supported devices. If a cloud AI Gateway is configured and used, related request/response data and security tokens may be sent to the gateway.
- For Focus Coach, if you turn on Cloud AI task-name sharing, task titles, due dates, estimated times, and aggregated focus history may be sent to Cloud AI to generate more specific suggestions. Memo body text is not sent for Focus Coach unless you explicitly enter it into an AI feature. This setting can be changed in Privacy settings.
- If you connect Spotify, Spotify authorization tokens are stored in secure device storage, and Spotify may process your playlist information, current playback state, and available device information. This is used to provide Spotify playback features and respond to your playback actions.
- Contact information and inquiry details provided when you submit an inquiry via Google Forms.
2.2 Automatically collected information
We may collect information through third-party services for quality improvement, troubleshooting, security, purchases, and advertising:
- Device information (OS version, model, language settings, app version, etc.)
- App usage data (screen views and interaction events) when analytics collection is enabled
- Crash/error logs when crash reporting is enabled
- Advertising identifiers (such as AAID), ad events, consent status, and related metadata where applicable
- Purchase status, entitlement status, and anonymous purchase-management identifiers
- Firebase App Check tokens, Firebase Authentication ID tokens, anonymous client identifiers, and anti-abuse metadata where configured
3. Purpose of Use
- To provide and operate the App
- To store and display your local tasks, memos, timers, history, and statistics
- To provide account sign-in, account management, and optional focus-session history sync
- To provide AI features through Apple Intelligence/local processing or, where configured and used, a cloud AI Gateway
- To provide optional Spotify connection and playback features
- To improve functionality and quality
- To investigate and fix bugs/crashes
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- To respond to inquiries
- To deliver and measure advertisements and manage advertising consent
- To display paywalls and manage in-app purchase entitlements
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Please refer to their respective privacy policies:
This website may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics. See the providers' policies below for details.
- Authentication: Firebase Authentication (Google)
- Optional Focus-Session History Sync: Cloud Firestore / Firebase (Google)
- Security / Abuse Prevention: Firebase App Check (Google), where configured
- AI Features: Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple Intelligence/local system services may process supported AI requests on supported Apple devices. Availability depends on the device, OS, language, region, and the user's Apple Intelligence settings.
- A NAGI-operated AI Gateway and cloud AI provider may be used only when configured for a route. Gateway requests may include Firebase Auth and App Check tokens where required.
- For Focus Coach, task context is sent to Cloud AI only when the corresponding Privacy setting is turned on.
- Spotify Integration: Spotify
- When you connect a Spotify account, Spotify handles authentication, playlist retrieval, current playback lookup, available device lookup, and playback start/stop requests based on your actions. Spotify authorization tokens are stored in secure device storage.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics (Google)
- Analytics collection is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in the App.
- Crash Analysis: Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
- Crash reporting is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in the App.
- Advertising and Consent: Google AdMob (Google), Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
- We request non-personalized ads.
- UMP may be used to collect or update advertising consent where required.
- Payments: Apple App Store / Google Play in-app purchase systems
- Payment information such as card details is handled by the store provider and is not collected by the App.
- Purchase Management: RevenueCat
- We use RevenueCat SDK and App Store / Google Play purchase systems to display paywalls, restore purchases, and manage purchase status and entitlements. RevenueCat may use an anonymous App User ID or related identifiers to associate purchase status with a device/user.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share your information with third parties except in the following cases:
- With your consent
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect life, body, or property
- To service providers within the scope of achieving the purposes of use
In addition, we may share information with the third-party services listed in Section 4 to operate, improve, secure, and monetize the App.
6. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your residence (for example, the United States) through the third-party services mentioned above.
Apple Intelligence/local processing availability and behavior may depend on Apple's device, OS, language, and regional requirements.
7. Data Retention
- Local data (for example, tasks, memos, timer settings, and local history) is stored on your device and is typically deleted when you uninstall the App, subject to OS/device behavior and backups.
- Optional Firestore focus-session history sync data may remain in Firestore after you turn off History Sync or delete the App.
- In-app account deletion deletes the Firebase Authentication account. It does not automatically delete local device data, Firestore focus-session history sync data, inquiry records, purchase records, analytics/crash records, or advertising records.
- Third-party data is retained according to the policies and controls of each provider.
- Inquiry data is retained for the period necessary to respond and then deleted or archived as appropriate.
8. User Control & Deletion
Users can limit analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) by turning off "Enable Data Collection" in the App's Settings menu. Advertising consent is managed separately via Settings > Privacy Settings in the App (UMP), where available.
Additionally, you can manage or limit the use of advertising identifiers through your device settings.
History Sync is optional and requires sign-in. Turning it off stops future sync attempts, but it does not automatically delete focus-session history records that were already synced to Firestore.
You can delete your Firebase Authentication account from Settings > Account > menu > Delete account. This action removes the Firebase Auth account only. If you wish to request deletion of inquiry records or synced focus-session history records, please contact us at the email address provided in Section 12. Deletion requests are handled within technical, legal, and provider-policy limits.
In certain regions such as the EU/EEA, we may request your consent for analytics and advertising as required by applicable laws. You may be able to change or withdraw your consent through in-app prompts, the App's privacy settings, or your device settings.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected from loss, theft, and unauthorized access.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for general audiences. If you are a minor, please use the App with parental consent.
11. Changes to Notice
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes within the App or through appropriate channels.
